Iredell County Sheriff’s Office personnel are searching for a man wanted on numerous felony charges following an investigation by the ICSO Narcotics Unit.

Narcotics investigators opened an investigation after receiving complaints from concerned citizens about possible drug activity occurring at 219 Cumberland Road, which is south of Statesville, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.

Undercover narcotics investigators began conducting surveillance operations of the home and identified Cameron Max Burleyson as a person involved in illegal narcotics sales, Campbell said. As part of the investigation, narcotics investigators purchased marijuana directly from Burleyson from inside the residence, he added.

Based on all the evidence gathered in the investigation, narcotics investigators obtained a search warrant for the home, according to the news release.

On Wednesday, ICSO personnel, including narcotics investigators, deputies with the ICSO Aggressive Criminal Enforcement Team, and Warrant Squad and Patrol Division deputies, executed the search warrant at 219 Cumberland Road, Campbell said.

Investigators located and seized more than 15 pounds of hydroponic marijuana stored in multiple trash bags and handbags, along with 1,281 THC cartridges used with vape pens and various packages of assorted Marijuana edibles, according to the news release. Investigators also seized 50 dosage units of Adderall, a schedule II-controlled substance, and $2,500 in cash.

The street value of the seized marijuana is $164,820, and the street value of the seized Adderall pills is $1,750.

Felony arrest warrants have been issued for Cameron Max Burleyson for Felony Trafficking of Marijuana by Possession, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance, and Felony Maintaining a Vehicle or Residence for the Sale or Use of a Controlled Substance, Felony Trafficking Opiates by Possession, Felony Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Marijuana.

“I want to thank the citizens for providing information to our office, which helps us investigate and arrest individuals such as this who are profiting and victimizing our communities and selling items that could potentially injure our children by selling items that so closely resemble actual candy,” Sheriff Campbell said.
