A Mooresville man faces drug charges after Iredell County Sheriff’s Office personnel executed a search warrant at a home off Parker Avenue.

ICSO investigators have obtained arrest warrants for 44-year-old Ira Joshua Freeze, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a news release.

After receiving numerous complaints from concerned community members regarding possible narcotics activity Freeze’s residence at 511 Parker Avenue, the Narcotics Division opened an investigation, Campbell said. During the search of the residence, ICSO personnel located seven grams of methamphetamine, along with various items of paraphernalia commonly associated with the sale and distribution of illegal narcotics, according to the news release.

“We take every community complaint seriously. This search warrant directly results from community members who saw and said something,” Campbell said. “Their willingness to speak up plays a vital role in helping us combat illegal drug activity and keep our community safe.”

Arrest warrants have been issued charging Freeze with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and felony maintaining a dwelling for the sale or use of a controlled substance.

Freeze is currently on probation for previous methamphetamine-related offenses, according to the news release.

According to the ICSO, Freeze’s criminal record includes the following charges: misdemeanor larceny, misdemeanor assault on a governmental official, felony possession of stolen goods, misdemeanor possession of a schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor Larceny and two counts of felony possession of methamphetamine.
