A Mooresville man faces charges in connection with a residential break-in and larceny following an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Douglas Paul Mashburn, 55, of Eastridge Lane, Mooresville, in a news release.
ICSO deputies responded to a report of a residential break-in in the 100 block of East Barkley Road near Statesville on August 30.
The homeowner told deputies that numerous items had been stolen. Security camera footage showed a man unlawfully entering the residence, according to the news release.
Through their investigation, Deputy Wade and Detective Henderson identified Mashburn as the suspect, Campbell said. Investigators learned that some of the stolen property had been pawned at a local shop.
Later that same day, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Mashburn’s vehicle and found burglary tools and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, according to the news release.
Mashburn was taken into custody and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. He is charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering, Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, Misdemeanor Possession of Burglary Tools, Misdemeanor Possession of Stolen Goods, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Mashburn, who was out on bond for unrelated charges at the time of his arrest, was ordered held without bond by Magistrate Callejas.
The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office expressed its appreciation to the community for their assistance in this case.
According to the ICSO, Mashburn’s criminal history includes the following charges: Misdemeanor Maintaining a Vehicle for Controlled Substance, Misdemeanor Failure to Appear on a Misdemeanor, Misdemeanor Larceny, Misdemeanor Domestic Violence Protective Order Violation, Misdemeanor Injury to Personal Property, Misdemeanor Violation of Court Order, Felony Possession of Schedule II Controlled Substance, Felony Possession of Stolen Goods, Eight Counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell, or Deliver Methamphetamine, Two Counts of Felony Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Five Counts of Felony Obtaining Property by False Pretenses, Felony Safecracking, Two Counts of Felony Larceny After Breaking and Entering, Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Felony Conspiracy Breaking and Entering to Commit Felony Larceny, and Felony Larceny of a Firearm.
