Two Statesville men were arrested and a third is wanted in connection with a residential break-in that occurred in eastern Iredell County.
Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrests of Brandon Samir Adams, 18, and Daylan Grant Hallman, 25, in a news release. A third suspect, Fred Cox IV, 23, has not been apprehended.
Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified of a break-in in progress on June 5 by a homeowner who observed two suspects on a video surveillance system taking home from the residence and leaving in a silver vehicle, Campbell said.
ICSO deputies responded to the scene, but the suspects had left the area by the time they arrived, according to the news release.
Detectives and crime scene investigators responded to the scene. Detectives obtained images of the suspects and the suspect vehicle from the homeowner.
The case was assigned to Detective C. Rogers, who conducted interviews with witnesses and neighbors — and identified Adams, Hallman and Cox as suspects in the break-in.
Adams was arrested on June 10 and charged with two counts of Felony Breaking or Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking or Entering, and Felony Conspiracy. He appeared before District Court Judge C. Marlow, who issued Adams a $75,000 secured bond on these charges.
Hallman was arrested on June 12 and charged with Felony Breaking and Entering, Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering, and Felony Conspiracy. Magistrate Imes issued him no bond.
Cox has an outstanding arrest warrant for Felony Conspiracy.
The investigation remains ongoing, and more charges are possible.
