A Statesville man has been arrested in connection with the June 14 shooting death of D’Angelo Malindsay Barker.

The Statesville Police Department announced the arrest Darryl Davekio Jordan, 33, in a news release Wednesday.
SPD personnel and members of the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Jordan in Huntersville on Tuesday. He was charged with murder and is being held at the Iredell County Detention Center without bond, pending his first court appearance.
Jordan’s arrest followed the SPD Violent Crimes and Criminal Investigations units’ investigation of a shooting that occurred about 5:35 a.m. on June 14 in the 100 block of East Allison Street. Barker, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering a gunshot wound to the torso, police said.
The Statesville Police Department expressed its appreciation to the U.S. Marshals Carolinas Regional Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in apprehending Jordan.
