Special to IFN
The Statesville Woman’s Club recently held its September meeting at the Historic Clubhouse. This was the first meeting after the summer break and the meeting was focused on the club’s Community Service Program (CSP) and upcoming projects for the coming year.
The club will be participating in the third National Day of Service, a day in which all General Federation of Women’s Clubs work together in service to highlight an area of need, take action to address it, and raise public awareness about its importance. This year’s theme is geared towards domestic violence.
Club President Kim Mulrey shared her goals for the club members to be “Rays of Sunshine” (her theme for her 2025-2026 term) in the community and also “Acts of Kindness Challenge” to the club’s Community Service Programs.
Before the meeting ended, the new club yearbooks were presented to members with this year’s being dedicated to Dana White.
