Troutman Fire & Rescue, Troutman Police and Iredell County EMS personnel were alerted for an overturned tractor trailer on Charlotte Highway in front of Sheetz about 10 p.m. on Tuesday.

Firefighters used an A-frame ladder to help the driver get out of the truck. The driver was evaluated by EMS and released.

Charlotte Highway northbound was closed at Garden Center Avenue for an extended period of time as crews offloaded the truck’s fuel tanks before it could be turned upright and removed from the roadway.
