A Salisbury woman was fatally injured early Tuesday morning when she lost control of her car and crashed into another vehicle in eastern Iredell County, according to the N.C. State Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to the scene of the collision on Bell Farm Road near Farmwood Drive about 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, according to an NCSHP news release.

Brianna Brown, 19, of Salisbury was driving north on Bell Farm Road in a Toyota Camry when her vehicle left the roadway, troopers said. She overcorrected and the Camry crossed into the southbound land and collided with a BMW X1, according to the news release.

Brown suffered fatal injuries in the crash, troopers said.

The driver of the BMW, identified as Statesville resident Florence Crawford-Randall, 53, was transported to Atrium Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, where she was listed in stable condition. Two juvenile passengers, whose names were not released, were taken to Brenner Children’s Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition.

Bell Farm Road was closed in the area for approximately four hours, troopers said.
