Troutman Fire Rescue was alerted for a vehicle fire on Arthurs Road about 9:13 p.m. on Wednesday. The alarm was upgraded to a structure fire assignment when additional calls were received that the siding was melting on the structure and the close proximity of the vehicle to the structure.

Troutman Engine 1 was first on scene and transmitted the working vehicle fire, quickly stretched a line and got water on the fire before it extended to the structure. All units were cancelled except for Troutman Ladder 1 and Engine 2.

Control time was 9:25 p.m. No injuries were reported.
