Cathy Bessant, chief executive officer of Foundation for the Carolinas, will be the featured speaker at the 2026 HealthReach Heroes Luncheon on April 28 in downtown Mooresville. The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Charles Mack Citizen Center.
The annual luncheon celebrates individuals, partners, and donors whose generosity makes the mission of HealthReach possible. Each year, this gathering highlights the collective impact of providing free medical care and medications to uninsured, low-income adults in Iredell County who would otherwise go without essential healthcare.
As CEO of Foundation for the Carolinas, Bessant leads one of the largest community foundations in the nation. The foundation partners with donors, nonprofits, and civic leaders to strengthen communities through strategic philanthropy, grantmaking, and community leadership initiatives.
“We are delighted to welcome Ms. Cathy Bessant as our luncheon speaker,” said Angela McMillan, executive director at HealthReach Community Clinic. “Her vision and leadership in philanthropy reflect the very spirit of HealthReach, working together to ensure every person has access to quality healthcare and a healthier future.”
