The Exchange Club of Troutman invites the community to attend its second annual Cars for Kids Car Show, a family-friendly event dedicated to driving out child abuse by raising awareness and funds for a local child abuse prevention nonprofit.

The event will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Career Academy and Technical School in Troutman. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend and enjoy a day filled with classic and new cars, motorcycles, trucks, hotrods, food, raffles, and local vendors.

Cars for Kids is a community-driven effort to support children and families in need. Proceeds from the event will benefit Pharos Parenting, a Statesville-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works to strengthen families and prevent child abuse through no-cost education and support services for families in Iredell, Alexander, and north Mecklenburg counties.

“Last year, we had about three times as many people show up as we expected!” said Nate Saunders, communications director for Pharos Parenting and Exchange Club of Troutman member. “While that was a great problem to have, we made some changes this year to hold a larger crowd. We look forward to utilizing the bigger parking lot at CATS and we hope to see everyone come out again.”

Car and truck registration is $20 per vehicle, and a motorcycle costs $10 to register. Spectators get in free and parking is next to the event.

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses looking to support the mission while gaining visibility within the community.
