Four members of Iredell County Emergency Medical Services team recently reached a significant professional milestone, graduating from the UNC Charlotte EMS Management Institute — one of the most respected leadership development programs in the emergency medical services field.

The graduates include Lt. Brandy Mitchell, Lt. Angela Hobbs, Training Officer Dustin Allen and Logistics Coordinator Nicholas Hiatt.

The UNC Charlotte EMS Management Institute is widely regarded as a gold‑standard program for EMS leadership training. Spanning six months, the program focuses on organizational leadership, personnel management, strategic planning, and operational excellence. Participants complete an intensive series of courses designed to strengthen leadership capacity within EMS agencies across the region.

“These four individuals have demonstrated exceptional commitment to professional growth and to the people of Iredell County,” said EMS Director Eric Morrison. “Their dedication to advancing their leadership skills directly benefits our community and strengthens the high‑quality emergency medical services our residents rely on every day.”
