The Iredell County Farm Bureau will hold a forum on Thursday, February 12, for candidates running for a seat on the Iredell County Board of Commissioners in the 2026 elections. The community is invited to attend the forum.

The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be held at the Iredell County Extension Office located at 444 Bristol Drive in Statesville. Questions will focus on agriculture and the day-to-day changes occurring in Iredell County.

Candidate Information

Three incumbent Republican commissioners, Scottie Brown, Bert Connolly and Brad Stroud Sr., are running for re-election. Other GOP candidates include Brent Goddard, Angela Wokatsch Matthews and Lisa Meier.

Two Democrats, Amanda Brown Kotis and Terence Clark, are also running.

Election Information

The primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 3. The voter registration deadline is Friday, February 6.

Early voting begins Thursday, February 12, and runs through Saturday, February 28.
