Special to IFN
In anticipation of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 2026, the Iredell County Public Library invites the community to join in the celebration with our annual bookmark contest.
Participants of all ages are encouraged to create a patriotic bookmark that embodies the spirit and history of our nation. Winning designs will be selected by the Friends of the Library board.
First-place designs from each age group will be professionally printed and featured during ICPL’s Summer Reading program. Additionally, first-, second- and third-place winners will receive exciting prizes courtesy of the Friends of the Library.
Design templates can be picked up at any Iredell County Public Library branch or downloaded from the library’s website. Participants should submit their completed designs to the library no later than March 31, 2026.
Join us in this creative celebration of America’s rich history and bright future. The library staff looks forward to seeing your imaginative contributions as we honor this milestone anniversary.
