The Mooresville Youth Council invites teens in the community to Downtown Mooresville for a free event full of activities that will prepare them for the future. The “Professional Development Summit” will take place on Sunday, March 15, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Charles Mack Citizen Center.

The event will feature multiple booths and speakers who will provide teens with valuable information about professional opportunities. Speakers will impart their knowledge of interview tips, resume building, public speaking, and etiquette to teens to prepare them for the future.

Booths will be managed by organizations and local businesses and will showcase the internship, volunteer, scholarship, and job opportunities that are available to teens in Mooresville.

The Summit will enhance the teens’ professional skills and boost their confidence when it comes to their first professional experience.

The Mooresville Youth Council will provide the first 50 teens who pre-register for the Summit with an Interview Readiness Kit. The Kit will contain items such as a name tag, pen, resume template, and portfolio.
