Overturned dump truck causes traffic issues in Troutman (Photos)

Troutman Fire Rescue, Iredell County EMS and Troutman police responded to an overturned dump truck on South Main Street in Troutman about 12:13 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters removed the windshield and extricated the driver from the truck, and EMS personnel evaluated him. Crews stopped a fuel and hydraulic fluid leak until a hazardous materials unit from the tow company arrived and could pump the fuel tank out. South Main Street was closed for several hours from Ostwalt Amity Road to Autumn Leaf Road until the scene was cleared.
