Phoenix Myers

Myers has a 4.7 grade-point average and has been a part of the varsity volleyball team for four years, leading her team as captain to the 3A state championship last fall. She was also elected Homecoming Queen by her peers and teachers last fall.

Outside of school, Myers has held a variety of leadership positions in the National Charity League’s Lake Norman Chapter since seventh grade, including president, vice president, treasurer and secretary. She has won the Presidential Service Award three years in a row.

Myers has earned a Business Certificate through dual enrollment with Mitchell Community College. She is a co-owner of local screen printing and embroidery shop, Ultimate Swag, with her parents, and enjoys designing and producing custom designs for her sports teams and the National Charity League.

She has already been accepted to UNC Chapel Hill and directly admitted to the Kenan-Flagler Business School. She will interview at UNC along with approximately 150 finalists. Seventy-five Morehead-Cain Scholarships will be awarded.

In addition to full tuition, scholars have the opportunity to participate in an international experience prior to beginning freshman year, as well as summer enrichment programs.
