Jennie Reid, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is now offering outpatient behavioral health services at Family Care Center of Taylorsville.

Reid has worked in healthcare since 2000 in a variety of roles that have helped her develop a strong understanding of patient care and interdisciplinary teamwork. She transitioned into social work in 2015 after earning a Bachelor of Social Work and later completed a Master of Social Work in 2021, both at Appalachian State University. Since then, she has been steadily working toward clinical licensure hours for her LCSW. She is also a certified Advanced Palliative Hospice Social Worker.
Reid said she chose Iredell Health for its integrated, team-based approach to patient care, working alongside providers who understand the importance of behavioral health within the medical setting and prioritize collaboration for better patient outcomes. She looks forward to seeing new patients in Taylorsville with this approach in mind.
“Patients can expect a structured yet compassionate approach when they first meet me,” she shared. “I begin by gathering background information, discussing their current concerns and identifying what they hope to achieve. My focus is on creating a safe space where patients feel heard and understood.”
Goals for her patients are centered around empowerment.
“My goal is to support patients in achieving meaningful improvements in their emotional, social and physical wellbeing. I strive to help patients build coping skills, strengthen resilience and feel empowered to take on an active role in their health,” she said.
Outside the office, Reid enjoys exploring new places, spending time with loved ones and appreciating quiet moments at home to recharge. These hobbies bring calmness and empathy to her role as a social worker.
“My favorite healthy tip is to prioritize small daily habits that support your emotional and physical wellbeing. Consistency creates lasting change,” she said.
Reid’s clinical approaches include:
• Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
• Attachment-Based Therapy
• Client-Centered Therapy
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
• Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
• Trauma-Focus Therapy
