Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Adam Steven High, 41, of County Line Road, Harmony, in a news release.

ICSO deputies responded to a report of a theft from the business at 616 Mocksville Highway on Monday, February 23, Campbell said. The merchandise was reportedly taken overnight, according to the news release.

The case was assigned to Detective S. Zalepka, who reviewed surveillance video, which included a suspect vehicle believed to be connected to the theft, Campbell said.

Three days later Detective Zalepka spotted the suspect vehicle traveling along Mocksville Highway. After noticing the vehicle was displaying a fictitious license plate, the vehicle was stopped, according to the news release.

High, who was driving the vehicle, was charged with driving with a suspended license and served with  outstanding warrants for misdemeanor larceny and misdemeanor injury to personal property.

As the investigation continued, ICSO personnel obtained additional evidence connecting High to the auto parts theft, Campbell said.

High was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was charged with felony larceny. He is being held under a $30,000 secured bond issued by District Court Judge C. Marlowe.
