A Mooresville woman faces two felony charges following a sexual assault investigation conducted by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Jonnie Ezara Wysong, 46, of Stutts Road, Mooresville, in a news release Thursday.
The Sheriff’s Office opened an investigation on February 17 after receiving a report related to a possible sexual assault of a juvenile. The case was assigned to Special Victims Unit Detective C. James, who conducted multiple interviews and collected evidence in the case.
Following the investigation, Wysong was arrested and charged with two counts of felony indecent liberties with a child. She appeared before Magistrate Thompson, who issued a secured bond in the amount of $75,000.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the suspect’s criminal history includes the following charges: felony sale of heroin, felony sale of schedule IV controlled substance, and a misdemeanor drug offense.
