An eastern Iredell County resident faces several charges in connection with multiple motor vehicle break-ins following an investigation by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Darren Campbell announced the arrest of Adam Michael Packard, 34, of Henderson Drive, Statesville, in a news release Tuesday.
About 7:13 a.m. on Friday, March 27, ICSO deputies responded to the Pilch Road area after receiving reports that a man was attempting to force his way into two separate homes, Campbell said. Soon after arriving in the area, deputies located and arrested Packard, according to the news release.
During the ensuing investigation, detectives obtained evidence linking Packard to a series of vehicle break-ins and thefts that occurred between March 24 and March 26, Campbell said.
Detective Zalepka responded to the scene and developed probable cause to obtain a search warrant for Packard’s residence on Henderson Drive, according to the news release. During the search of the home, deputies recovered multiple items reported stolen during the recent vehicle break-ins, Campbell said.
Investigators also located approximately 57 dosage units of Clonazepam, 3.52 grams of marijuana, and packaging materials consistent with the sale and delivery of narcotics, according to the news release.
Based on the evidence collected, Packard was charged with three counts of felony break/enter a motor vehicle with theft; felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver a schedule IV controlled substance; felony maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance; and three misdemeanor drug offenses.
He is being held at the Iredell County Detention Center under a $155,000 secured bond.
