Tilley’s Dance Academy delivered impressive performances over the past two weekends, earning top honors, special recognitions, and memorable experiences at two regional dance competitions.
From March 20–22, the studio attended DanceMakers Inc., a high-energy event combining both convention-style training and competitive performance. Dancers immersed themselves in a full schedule of classes throughout Saturday and Sunday, learning from industry professionals and refining their technique across multiple styles. The weekend also featured competition rounds on Friday and Saturday evenings, where Tilley’s performers showcased their hard work on stage.
The studio returned home with a strong collection of accolades, including multiple high score awards, as well as several Judges’ Picks and Directors’ Picks—honors that recognize standout performances for artistry, technique, and stage presence. In addition to these achievements, several dancers were awarded scholarships, granting them the opportunity to attend future dance conventions at no cost.
Building on this success, Tilley’s Dance Academy competed again the weekend of March 27–28 at the Inferno Dance Competition. Dancers earned numerous Elite Platinum and Platinum awards, along with several overall high score titles and a variety of special judges’ awards.
Two routines from the studio were selected for the prestigious Group Showcase, a highlight of the event in which select performances are invited to take the stage in a celebratory exhibition just before the final awards ceremony.
Capping off the weekend, Tilley’s Dance Academy was honored with the Exceptional Performance Award, recognizing the studio’s overall excellence and competitive achievement.
With back-to-back weekends of success, Tilley’s Dance Academy continues to demonstrate its commitment to artistic growth, technical excellence, and a passion for performance.
