Troutman Fire Rescue personnel were alerted by an Iredell County Sheriff’s Office deputy of a vehicle on fire close to a structure on Oswalt Amity Road about 2:49 p.m. Sunday. Deputies tried to extinguish the fire with a fire extinguisher, but it was too involved. Troutman Engine 1 arrived and transmitted a working fire and stretched one hose line and extinguished the blaze. The fire was placed under control at 3:05 p.m. No injuries were reported
