Mooresville, Shepherds, Troutman and South Iredell fire rescue personnel, along with Iredell County EMS, responded to a report of a structure fire with people trapped on Roseland Court about 4:14 a.m. on Tuesday. Mooresville Engine 4 was first on scene and transmitted a working fire with heavy smoke showing. One occupant was out of the house and firefighters helped another occupant escape from the smoke-filled house. Both occupants were evaluated by EMS. Firefighters extinguished the fire, which had extended into the attic area. The fire was placed under control at 4:30 a.m. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
