Kingston Cornell Knox left this earthly world to become an angel in heaven on October 17, 2020. He was born on August 29, 2020, at Iredell Memorial Hospital and was the son of Jerry Maurice Knox and Aaliyah Nichole Mungro.

He was preceded in death by a paternal great grandfather, Eddie Lee Knox Sr. and a great uncle, Sidney Templeton.

In addition to his father, Maurice, and his mother, Aaliyah, he leaves to cherish the memory of his life two sisters, La’Niha Knox and Mahogany Knox, both of the home; paternal grandparents, Jerry Stacy Knox and Marcy Norman (Clayton) Gibbs, all of Statesville; maternal grandparent, Ena Duncan of Fayetteville; maternal adopted grandparents, Tony and Joy Mungro of Hickory; maternal great grandparents, Marvin and Juanita Norman and Linda Knox, all of Statesville; great great grandparents, Stroy Speaks, great grandparents, Blanche Davis and Williams Speaks; great aunts and great uncles, Zenoria “NaNa” Lumpkin, Kevin Lumpkin, Cody Lumpkin, Marvin Alan (Kim Burns) Norman, Eddie (Wanda) Knox, Gary Gibbs, Perry (Barbara) Knox, Frances Knox Houston, Freida (Burley) Hunter; great great uncles, Max Templeton, John Templeton, JQ Norman, Ervin Norman, Marie Wellman, Darlene M. Sherrill, Queen (John Wayne) Morrison, JoAnn (William) Thomas, Corinne (George) Kennedy, and Mary (Clarence) Wimbish; and a host of other relatives.

Celebration of Life Services will be conducted Friday, October 23, 2020, at Rutledge and Bigham Funeral Home at 12 noon. Pastor Glenn J. Usry will officiate.
