Alma Jean Donaldson Turner, 86, a longtime resident of Mooresville, N.C., died on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, after a brief battle with double pneumonia.

She was born in Cornelius, N.C., on September 19, 1934, to the late Oscar and Camie Donaldson. She and her children traveled extensively with her husband Harvey Turner while he was serving in the United States Air Force. Upon Harvey’s military retirement, the family moved back to Mooresville. Alma was a homemaker and an accomplished seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Lester Turner; and one sister, Nancy Donaldson.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Allen Turner; daughter, Deborah Turner Little and husband Robert, all of Mooresville; brother, Lamont Donaldson and his wife Betty of Huntersville; grandson, Timothy W. Turner; and great grandchildren, Alisha and Anthony Turner.

A graveside service at Glenwood Memorial Park, Mooresville, will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 27, 2021, with Rev. John Miles officiating.
