Alair Schamber, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Troutman, N.C., on September 9, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Alair lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the simple joys of family.

She had a special fondness for flowers and hummingbirds, which brought her daily delight and reflected her gentle, nurturing spirit. More than anything, Alair treasured time with her family, who were the center of her world.

She is survived by her brother, Silvio; her daughter, Vera; her son, Paulo; son-in-law, Carlos; daughter-in-law, Doraline; her beloved grandchildren, Fabio, Elaine, Flavia, Brian, and Jennifer; her cherished great-grandchildren, Leonardo, Lucas, Liam, Madison, Leah, and Elijah; and her godchild Elisabeth. She also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces and nephews, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Alair was preceded in death by her husband, Roberto; her son, Nilson Delmaire; and her siblings.

A celebration of her life will be held at Enterprise Evergreen Cemetery in Deltona, Fla. Date to be determined. Family and friends are welcome to bring flowers to the cemetery for her celebration of life.

However, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in her memory.

Alair’s legacy of faith, love, and family will live on in all who knew her.
