Ashley Nicole Hyatt-Jones, 32, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2025. She was born May 17, 1993 in Steubenville, Ohio, to Daniel Ray Jones and Jennifer Ulicny Jones.

Ashley grew up in the Toledo, Ohio area, where she was a member of the Springfield Cowboys cheerleading squad and was active in many other sports in her youth. During her middle school years, her family moved to Lake Norman in North Carolina. Ashley enjoyed many weekends on the lake with family and friends.

If you knew Ashley, you knew she loved hard. Her laughter filled the room, and her presence could not be denied. She was a loving and loyal friend.

Although she experienced many challenges in her life, nothing outlasted her love for her two sons, Nathan Daniel Jones and Ezra Soul Hyatt. When she was with them, her pains were limited, and her smiles were large and plentiful. This is the Ashley we will choose to remember and hold dear in our hearts.

Ashley Nicole is survived by her parents, Dan and Jennifer Jones; her grandparents, Joe and Barbara Ulicny, and Norma Jones and Lynn Simmons; her sons, Nathan Daniel Jones and Ezra Soul Hyatt; and she is lovingly remembered by her aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Jones; her aunt, Lisa Jones; and grandparents, John Dahl and Suella Volpe.

The family will receive family and friends on Sunday, June 1, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel at Cavin-Cook. Immediately after the service there will be a burial service at Mimosa Cemetery in Davidson. The family home will be open for a Celebration of Life following the burial.

Ashley Nicoles’ time with us on earth was too short. We will forever miss your big heart, big smile and big voice. As you wrestled with the darkness, you always reached for the light, Hallelujah!
