Barbara Carol Iserson Wirth, 91, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, June 9, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 20, 1934 in Queens, N.Y., to the late Fred and Idabelle Voege Iserson.

She loved her view living on Lake Norman and had sweet memories of her vacation home in the Catskill Mountains, N.Y., “Barkaboom.” She loved traveling and was the life of every party.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Stanley Wirth; grandson, Michael Wirth; and son-in-law, Johannes Hurbanek.

She is survived by her children, Peter Wirth (Rhonda), Charlotte Wirth, and Lori Kolb (Chuck); grandchildren, Tarrah Portnova, Michael Kolb (Bailey), and Brian Kolb (Courtney); and great grandchildren, Charlie Kolb, Coda Kolb, and Londyn Portnova.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. The family will also receive friends on Friday, June 13, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 12:30 p.m. at Northlake Memorial Gardens in Huntersville.
