Barbara Jean Evans, 88, passed away on June 12, 2025, at Mountain Valley SECU Hospice Care Center in Yadkinville, N.C. She was born on June 13, 1936, in North Carolina to the late Sherrill and Dolly Campbell Harris.

Barbara loved the Lord, and she was a member of Society Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. In her spare time, she liked to relax and watch The Andy Griffin Show. She also enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and loved dance.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Tony Evans and Tracy Evans; and two sisters.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Herman Evans; daughter, Gail Mitchell; grandchildren, Matthew Mitchell and Brandon Mitchell; great grandchildren, Seth, Kaylee, Karlee and Mason; and sister, Geraldine Daniel.
