Beulah Mae Brown, 98, was born on April 23, 1927, in Statesville, N.C. She peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Silas Creek Rehab Center in Winston-Salem, N.C., leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She was the beloved daughter of the late Sherrill Moten and Rosa Lee Clark Moten.
Beulah was educated at Unity High School and continued her studies at Kate Biddings Hospital, where she completed four years of nursing education. She went on to serve as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, retiring from West Chester County Medical Center in New York. Her compassionate care and commitment to her patients touched countless lives throughout her long and distinguished career.
A woman of deep faith, Beulah was a devoted member of St. Phillips Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Brooks S. Brown Sr., and two sons, William “Billy” Brown and Keith Richard Brown, along with her parents.
She is survived by her devoted son, Brooks S. Brown Jr. (Ojetta) of Raleigh, N.C.; granddaughters, Cierra McCarther Willis of San Antonio, Texas, and Brooke Brown of New York; a brother, of Raleigh, NC; her nephew Kenneth; and several cherished grandchildren and extended family members.
Beulah Mae Brown will be remembered for her warm heart, steady spirit, and the profound impact she made as a mother, grandmother, nurse, and friend.
