Brandon Taylor Ward, 35, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville.

He was born on May 28, 1990, in Charlotte, N.C., to Gary and Anita Burkhead Ward. Brandon was a 2007 graduate of Lake Norman High School. He was employed with Staples in Mooresville and worked previously at Walmart in Mooresville and Toyota in Huntersville. He enjoyed all kinds of sports, playing golf, soccer, basketball, and wrestling, and he earned his black belt in Karate. Brandon loved dogs and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Gary and Anita, he is survived by his fiancée, Ceara Eldridge, and her daughter who they raised together, Akasha.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital and the Mt. Mourne Fire and Rescue for their loving care.

No services will be held at this time.
