Brenda Sue White Wyatt, lovingly known as “Brennie,” passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at The Greens at Maple Leaf in Statesville, N.C. Born in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Andrew and Martha Estes White. A graduate of Troutman High School, Brenda dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, creating a warm and loving home for her husband, children, and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Angela Dawn Wyatt; grandson, Nicholas Shon Wyatt, whom she lovingly raised as a son; and her two brothers and three sisters.

Brenda was a woman of deep faith and was of the Baptist tradition.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Gene Steve Wyatt; her children, Andrew Clay Johnson, Kenneth Lee Johnson (Stephanie), Diane Renee Johnson Robinson (Ernest), Paula Jean Wyatt (Colt McClements), Crystal Ann Wyatt Lineberger, and Savannah Rae Wyatt, a granddaughter she raised as her own. Brenda also leaves behind a large and loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Per her wishes, no formal visitation will be held and a private service will take place. A public gathering to honor her life will be announced at a later date.
