Caroline Judith Chadwick Auwater, 66, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on May 9, 1959 in Rutland, Vt., to the late Carlton Chadwick and Isabell Hilliker Chadwick. Mrs. Auwater loved going to the beach, cooking, and family outings, especially barbeques. Her passion was her family, especially her grandchildren whom she adored.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcom Stuart Auwater; son, John Chadwick; and brother, Marcus Chadwick.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Chadwick (Karla), Joshua Auwater, Tasha Brown, and Jacob Auwater; sister, Sheila Mercure; brother, Danny Chadwick; grandchildren, Addison Chadwick, Gavin Andrews, Cole Andrews, Grace Chadwick, Carter Chadwick, Luke Auwater, Eva Auwater, and Cora Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 17, from 1:30 to 3 p.m. with a service following at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
