Charlotte Luikart Javins, 85, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Monday, September 22, 2025. She was born on May 6, 1940, in Putnam County, W.Va., to the late Albert and Bessie Coulter Luikart.
Charlotte enjoyed watching Duke Basketball, especially Coach K, Atlanta Braves, Fox News and sports. She also enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, cooking, gardening, and word search puzzles. She loved her family and will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents and siblings, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dallas D. Javins.
Those left to cherish Charlotte’s memory are her daughter, Cheryl McMahan (Sean); sister, Millicent Cobb (Russell); brother, Darrell Luikart; grandchildren, Ryan McMahan (Evie), Trinity Johnson (Jarit), and Molly Rosier (Dallas); great grandchildren, Bransen, Connor, Jackson, Lilly, Braylen, Walker, Thomas, Enzo, Isla, and Nola; K9 companion, Buddy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home with Chaplain Eddie Karriker officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, at Salisbury National Cemetery.
