D’Angelo Malindasy Barker, 25, was born on February 29, 2000, in Lincolnton, N.C., to Avery Malindasy Barker and Dorothy Lee Bines Imes. He passed away unexpectedly on June 14, 2025.

D’Angelo was a kind-hearted and resilient young man who carried a quiet strength and an easy smile. He earned his GED and was employed at Kentucky Fried Chicken, where he was appreciated for his dedication and friendly nature.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Nelson and Pearline Bines, and Sonny Clark; his paternal grandparents, Floyd and Margaret Barker; and an uncle, Johnny Bines.

D’Angelo leaves to cherish his memory his devoted parents, Dorothy Lee Bines Imes (Ronnie) and Avery Malindasy Barker; grandmothers, Overseer Barbara Imes and Barbara Clark; his beloved daughter, Sa’Riah Dior Chantel Barker; and his siblings, Tim Bines, Monique Bines-Mayberry (Burley Mayberry Jr.), Brittany Barker (Kenny Alexander), and O’Bryant Bines; uncles, Paul Bines, Mike Bines, Rodney Barker (Rita), and Jeff Imes; aunts: Vanessa Barker (Pete), Renee Patterson (John), Floritha Davidson, Kim (Steve) Imes, and Vonda (Baren) Imes; along with a host of cousins, extended family, and many dear friends, including Jacquez Gaines, Kevin Turner, Fredrick Cherry, Jacolby Leach, and Nik, who will forever hold him in their hearts.
