David Lee Fowler, 64, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. He was born on September 13, 1960.

Mr. Fowler was a graduate of South Mecklenburg High School. He retired from Martin Marietta Materials after 40 years of service. During his tenure, he received numerous achievement awards for his hard work and dedication. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Clemson Tigers, Atlanta Braves, and the Carolina Panthers.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Brenda Eargle Fowler; son, Jake Fowler (Steven); daughter, Jennifer F. Bentley (Chase); sister, Evelyn Fowler; brother, Bruce Fowler (Kim); brother-in-law, Billy Eargle; sister-in-law, Debbie Eargle; grandsons, Van, Lincoln, Baker, and Miller Bentley; nieces and nephews, Lauren (Dusty), Anna, Chaz (Bailey), Timothy; and great nephews, Liam, Beckett, and Hudson.

Friends can visit with the family on Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Norman Humane Society, 2106 Charlotte Hwy., Mooresville, NC 28117.
