Debra (Debbie) Cates Shoe, 68, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on November 19, 2025. She was born on May 11, 1957, in Statesville, N.C.

Throughout her life, she was known for her hard work, kind nature, and the quiet strength she carried with her. She found her greatest joy in the people and pets she loved.

She is survived by her mother, Peggy Reid; husband, Randy Shoe; children, Shane Huffman (Christina), Shannon Huffman (Robby Kufhta), and Meredith Dixon (Rob); grandchildren, Brandon Hunter, Brycen Huffman (Cheyenne), Brynne Huffman, Ansen Earnhardt, Camdyn Earnhardt, and Brooks Dixon; and several great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews who will forever cherish her.

A graveside service to honor Debbie’s life will be held on Monday, November 24, at Iredell Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m.

Debbie will be dearly missed and remembered for the gentle but meaningful way she touched the lives around her.
