Debra Denise Stevenson, 68, was born in Iredell County, on August 16, 1956, to Bruce Gaither and the late Julia Mae Stevenson McClelland and her late stepfather, Charles McClelland. She was also preceded in death by her grand parents, Rome and Addie Peet Stevenson; uncles, Joe Lewis Stevenson and Donnie “Zeke” Stevenson; and aunts, Doris Coleman and Carol Steele.

She worked at a rest area as a custodian. Debra loved watching TV, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends. She will truly be missed.

Debra leaves to cherish the memory of her life two sons, Barry Stevenson and Garry Stevenson; one sister, Sharon “Cheryl” Stevenson; three grandchildren, Barry Wayne “BJ” Stevenson, Chadz Ra”Shawn Stevenson, and Derek DeVonta Stevenson; two nieces, Angela Stevenson and Maria Stevenson; one great nephew, DaSean Stevenson; three great great nieces; one great great nephew; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 14, 2025, at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary, Statesville, N.C. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon, and the eulogy will follow.
