
Doris Laws Pardue, 92, of Statesville, N.C., passed away Saturday, December 6, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House with her daughter and son by her side. Doris was born in Iredell County on September 16, 1933, to the late Mastan Laws and Janie Bell Laws.
She was a lifelong member of Front Street Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was her daughter’s best friend and an amazing grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 74 years, John Pardue; and one son, Scott Pardue.
Survivors include one son, Mike Pardue of Statesville; one daughter, Tracey Pardue of the home; special daughter-in-law, Crystal Pardue; one brother, Roger Laws, and his wife Linda of Salisbury; two sisters-in-law, Judy Laws and Donna Laws; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Iredell Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal visitation. The family would like to give a special thank you to her sister-in-law, Wilma Laws.
