It is with deep love and sadness that we share the passing of Edna Parker Jones, 90, of Troutman, N.C., passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.

She was born on August 23, 1935, in Atlanta, Ga. She attended Mitchell Community College. She was a member of Laura Memorial Church of God in Mooresville. Mrs. Jones loved sewing, crafting, cooking, gardening flowers and canning vegetables. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and she never met a stranger, treating everyone as family and telling them she loved them.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Billy Sharpe Jones; parents, Edna and George Klarma; sons, David Jones and Richard Jones; grandparents, Charles and Missie Daniels Lamb; brothers, J. Soloman Ranson and Alonzo E. Ranson; and granddaughter, Keysha Hobbs.

She is survived by her children, Johnnie Jones (Lisa) and Gale Jones (Tim Painter); half-brother, Oscar Parker; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great great on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a service following at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Glenwood Memorial Park.
