Emma Jo Beebe, 22, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away and was greeted with open arms, love, and grace in Heaven on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at her home.
She was born November 25, 2002, at Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, N.C.
Emma is survived by her parents, Russell and Connie Beebe; Samantha Beebe; sisters, Amiee Khalil (Sami Khalil and three children), Prudence Beebe, Abigail Shepard, and Juliana Shepard; brothers, Jonathon Beebe, Joshua Beebe (Taylor Givens), and Michael Staten; her fiancé Jaylon Westbrook; grandparents, June and Gary Potts, Ruby Hunt, and Russell and Alice Beebe; and her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Outgoing by nature, Emma never met a stranger. She had kindness and sensitivity behind her eyes and a smile that would light up the world. She had a very special way of making everyone she met feel seen and heard and often reaching out to those who were struggling, even while fighting her own battles quietly.
As a child, Emma had a spark that shined so bright and lit up any and every room that she stepped into. She was always full of energy, curiosity, and laughter, and always eager to explore the world and connect with others. Through Emma’s creative soul, whether through gymnastics, cheerleading, making videos, or experimenting with new looks – she found unique ways to express her feelings and experiences.
Throughout the ups and downs of adolescence and young adulthood, Emma worked hard to find balance and belonging. She had hopes for the future, dreaming of travel, making a difference, and becoming someone she could be proud of.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family. This will be for all who knew and loved her to come and celebrate the one-of-a-kind sweet special soul that is gone far too soon, a way to enjoy the life she lived and grieve together through this tragedy.
The Hello Kitty loving shining soul will be remembered by everyone she touched and loved…
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, at Heritage House of Cavin-Cook Funeral Home.
In Emma’s honor, we are committed to raising awareness and supporting organizations that offer resources, compassion, and hope to young people and their families facing similar struggles. Our greatest wish is that Emma’s story may help another young person to feel less alone and choose to reach out for help.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to mental health organizations, addiction organizations, and ways to help the homeless as Emma always wanted to help anyone and everyone.

I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Emma seemed electrifying. I know that words are not as comforting as Emma being here. However, just know she is happiest now and in no pain. Remembering the good times.
