Eugene Carruth, 83, of Statesville, N.C., was born in Iredell County, N.C., on June 29, 1942, to the late Clint Woods and Geraldine Carruth Mosley. He entered into eternal life on Monday, November 17, 2025, at his residence. He was married to Kathy Carruth, who preceded him in death.

Eugene was a graduate of Unity High School. He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. He will truly be missed.

Eugene leaves to cherish the memory of his life one brother, Keith Woods of Washington, D.C.; one sister, Susie Woods; a special cousin, Bobbie Clark, with whom he made his home; and a host of other cousins, relatives, and friends.

A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the National VA Cemetery, Salisbury, N.C., at 1:30 p.m. Reverend John Phifer will deliver the eulogy.
