Felix Bailey III was born in Iredell County, on May 16, 1965, to Felix Bailey Jr. and Grace Dean Tate. He entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C.
Felix was a graduate of West Iredell High School, and he was employed with Bailey’s Trucking Company as a dock loader for trucks. He will truly be missed.
Felix leaves to cherish the memory of his life in addition to his parents, Felix (Lucille) Bailey and Grace Dean Tate, five sisters, Belinda Ann Hargrove, Helen B. Bailey, Dena B. Burton (Sherman), Phyllis Marchelle White, and Levese Bailey, all of Statesville; three step-sisters, Tina Price (Randall), Tammy Moore, and Patrick Hall; special uncle, James Bailey; special aunts, Betty Burnes, Blanche Geter, Claudia Anderson of Charlotte, and Carrie Moon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Rutledge and Bigham Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. and Apostle James Mauney will deliver the eulogy. Michael Gillespie will officiate. Burial will follow in the Belmont Cemetery, Statesville, N.C., on Monday, September 9, 2025.
