Franklin White Jr., 78, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in Statesville, N.C. He was born on August 17, 1947, in Iredell County to Franklin White Sr. and Dequilla Jane Davidson.

Frank believed in hard work and worked for many years for the City of Statesville. He was a sports fan, especially a NASCAR and football fan, and he also enjoyed playing spades.

He was very family-oriented and a true and loyal friend. He was quiet, strong and wise with both a great sense of humor and a great sense of style.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Wilson Davidson, David White and Terry White; and sisters, Deborah Overby, Sylvia Morrison, and Teresa Rankin.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Adell White of Statesville; children, Franklin White III and Enid White, both of Statesville; and sisters, Agnes Imes and Dorothy White, both of Statesville.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1 until 2 p.m. at Holsey Memorial CME Church in Statesville. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. with Rev. Barbara McCollum officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
