Gerald Lee “Scooter” Weeks, 82, passed away on September 26, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House surrounded by family.

He was born February 2, 1943, in Augusta, Ga., to the late Thomas Weeks Sr. and Elsie Cash Weeks. He was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Weeks Jr. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Charles R. Ware DD-865.

He retired from the textile industry as a knitting machine technician of 50 years. He enjoyed golfing, boating and playing pickle ball.

Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Joyce Caskaddon Weeks; children, Brad Weeks (Rhonda) of Conover, and Shannon Jordan (John) of Statesville; four grandchildren, Kayla Jordan (James) of Conway, S.C., Krista Jordan of Palmetto, Fla., Kassidy Bright (Devan) of Avon, Ind., and Kendall Weeks of Tennessee; and great grandsons, Landon, Liam, and Levi. In addition, he is survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Graveside service will be held at Fern Hill Baptist Church on Monday, September 29, 2025, at 3 p.m. Rev. Jesse Stroud and Rev. Beau Mills will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Tim Caskaddon, Scott Caskaddon, Lynn Caskaddon, Shane Caskaddon, David Caskaddon, Aaron Caskaddon and Bobby Caskaddon (Honorary). Interment will be following in the Fern Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Receiving of friends will be following service at the graveside.

Memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House or Fern Hill Baptist Church.
