James Edward Lotts, 82, of Cornelius, N.C., passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the S. Mitchell Mack Hospice House in Mooresville, N.C.

He was born on December 4, 1942, in Natural Bridge, Va., to the late Lewis and Pearl Kenley Lotts. Mr. Lotts was a retired Vice President and General Manager of International Paper Company after 36 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church Mooresville, where he was a member of the Partners in Christ Sunday School Class. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, and gardening, but mostly spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Hampton, Harliss, and Miles.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Judith Anderson Lotts; daughter, Chanel Martin (Scott); sister, Joyce Camper; grandchildren, Kyndall Trull (Austin) and Sydney Russo; great grandchildren, Shayne, Shelby, and Kennedy Trull; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 6, from 12 to 1 p.m. with a service following at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Mooresville, with Rev. Dr. Hugh Cooper and Pastor Seth Denney officiating.
