James Monroe Parker, 77, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was born on June 11, 1948, in Mooresville to the late David and Nellie Blackwelder Parker.

James, who was known as “Bubber,” was a graduate of South Iredell High School and a past member of Mooresville Masonic Lodge 496 and Oasis Shrine Temple. He retired after 40 years at Duke Energy. James enjoyed building motorcycles and restoring cars. He loved Volkswagens and Corvettes. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and would always be found smiling. James loved his family, and fur and feather babies, Mickey, Minnie, Cocco, and Lewi.

He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Annie Owens.

Those left to cherish James’s memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Paula Marie Connolly Parker; and his siblings, Wayne Parker (Susan), Sarah Hager (Dwight), Marshall Parker (Deeanne), Tater Scaglione (Jimmy).

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Prospect Presbyterian Church with Rev. Will Gipe officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.
