Heaven gained an angel on October 11, 2025, when Linda Gail Clark, lovingly known to all as Mom, went home to be with the Lord.
Mom was a devoted mother of two girls, Lisa and Nikki. She was the doting grandmother of Kaleigh, Jackson, Lilly and Olivia. Mom was devoted and present for every event, every celebration, every disappointment, and every success of her family.
On any given night or weekend, you’d see Mom on the sidelines at a game or an event. When her grandchildren looked up, there would be no doubt that their biggest cheerleader was there.
Her faith was the steady light that guided her life, filling her days with grace and love. Each day, she lifted her family and friends in prayer, asking God to keep them safe and surround them with peace — and just to be extra sure she had them all on Life 360 checking in to make sure they were safe.
Mom’s laughter was contagious, her dimples and bright smile lighting up every room she entered. Her children and grandchildren carry those same dimples — a beautiful reflection of the warmth and joy she will leave with each of them.
She was quirky and funny and left the most heartfelt messages for all of us. Thankfully, we have them saved to listen to for years to come.
Mom was a techie. She had a computer before most people that we knew. She loved to buy gadgets and the newest QVC or As Seen on TV item that came out. She was always the first grandma to get the newest app. She loved Snapchat and Instagram; you never knew what might pop up in your messages.
Mom loved to shop. She was Temu and Amazon’s best customer. She loved to craft and make things for her family. Even when her craft room was busting at the seams, she’d try to convince you that she needed just a few more things from Michael’s or Hobby Lobby.
Mom was a devoted daughter and loving sister. She cared for her mother, Inez, until her passing. Her sister Donna and her were the best of friends and were always wearing matching outfits wherever they went (without it being planned). They’d talk on the phone all throughout the day. Even when they probably shouldn’t be driving after dark, they’d make it to a game or a Sunday dinner. They are the only two sisters that can say they hit three cows on the road and lived to tell about it.
Mom’s foundation was strong. She was the daughter of Cy H. Young and Inez Young, the paternal granddaughter of Jessy Young and Sabrina Young, and the maternal granddaughter of Carl Fletcher and Lilly Pearl Fletcher. They set the foundation of family and the importance of being present. She carried that tradition for her entire life and set that example for generations to come.
Although Mom will be sorely missed, her laughter and spirit will live on through her family.
Linda Gail Clark is survived by her daughters, Lisa Ladner and Nikki Polson (husband, TJ); grandchildren, Kaleigh, Jackson, Lilly, and Olivia; sister, Donna Garland; nephews, Chris and Brian McClure; great niece, Ashley Styers (Brittney)and children, Wrenley and Payton.
