Linda Gant Ervin, 83, of Stony Point, N.C., passed away Sunday, September 21, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, N.C., following a brief illness. Linda was born in Alexander County on June 18, 1942, to the late Guy Gant and Helen Woodward Gant. She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ervin; one daughter, Dana Perry; and one grandson, Nolan Perry.

Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Shirk and husband Mark of Hiddenite, and Kelly Health of Newton; one sister, Jean Kerley, and husband Gary of Taylorsville; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
